Not to throw a wrench in an otherwise good argument, but the opening riff in "Before I Forget" was first used in a song that was meant to go on the Mate Feed Kill Repeat album called "Carve." Carve was written while Andres was still the vocalist so it was written before 2000 >_> However, it wasn't released on a major album, so neither band stole anything from eachother, because I doubt Taproot would have heard an unreleased song from an unsigned band...
