Tanya was in The Breeders from 1989 to 1992, concurrent with some of her time in Throwing Muses. The original plan was that the first Breeders album would be devoted to mostly Kim Deal's songs, and then the second would be mostly Tanya songs. When the time came for the second album, Kim decided she wanted to keep the Breeders as "her" project, so Tanya left to form Belly. But there are Breeders 2nd album demos available on the 'net that turned out to be songs from the 1st Belly album.
