Great job on a great song. Everyone plays What I think about you. A throw-away song.Apparently some people here were listening to the wrong stuff in the 80s. We had a musical renaissance in the 60s...and a similar, but smaller one in the 80s. There has not been one since! There have been highlights in the last 25 years, but not a renaissance.

It is nice of you to play requests even if the song isn't a top favorite. I am not particularly a fan of it either but I know it pretty well and I wanted to see how your version was. Really good as I suspected.

I thought their was some good stuff in the 80's. In the early 80's Judas Priest put out some of their best songs. And The Cars had some good songs, but I didnt like the pop direction they were going in. And thats really all I can think of that the moment. And I'm sure your refering mostly to the hair metal bands and the god awful pop groups.

Thanks as always for the great lesson PT. Sure the song's a little cheesy, but it's a fun groove and fun to play, not to mention gives me flashbacks of middle school.

I can't argue with the premise that the '80s sucked. There were a handful of bright spots in pop music, but as far as I'm concerned, the decade is best forgotten.

Actually I should have said that "Rock and a Hard Place" was the last single to chart the highest of any of the Stones' releases since 1989. It hit #23 in the U.S. while "Doom and Gloom" made it to #30. Both are good songs and I believe these are the only two to crack the top 40 since 1989. Neither have been covered by the Tricker.
