Maybe you're right and it's only a matter of personal taste. For me, the voice is essential. I can't get into a song if the singer isn't good and I don't find Mark's voice appealing at all (Robbie's was ok a few years ago, lately it's got worse) - and if you read the comments, you'll see that there's a lot of negative feedback, which worries me. As a massive TT fan, I want them to do well, but I also want to spend my money on good vocals on a cd.

Funny that you would say that because I am actually not part of the "TT fan base" at all. I enjoy their music however and I also enjoy Marks solo albums, truth be told. I agree with you that Gary has the strongest voice but I personally find Marks and Robbies for that matter alot more interesting. Just a question of taste I guess. Mark will probably never be the kind of musician that Gary undoubtedly is, but I think destroying their new found balance and variety would not do them any favours.

I haven't said anything about their songwriting. I agree that they have to share credits now and I do enjoy their collaboration, but singing-wise, I can't agree. Mark's voice just isn't that of a singer and, if you read all the comments,nobody outside the TT fanbase really likes it, which proves that putting him on lead vocals isn't helping the band attract new fans.Someone who hears TT for the first time with Mark as lead singer won't be interested in hearing more from them, which is a shame.

See and there i disagree with you. I love that they have grown up and decided to share the cake. Having one nominated lead singer/song writer and all the resulting rivalries brought about their break up in the 90s and years of depression, hate and failure. Now everyone is bringing something to the table and they have grown stronger and better through it. And I do enjoy Marks unique voice in this song very much, even if he isn't technically as good a singer as Gary.

people should stop complaining about the dancing: what were the other 3 boys supposed to do while Mark was singing?usually, Gary is sat at the piano, but in this video it was all just a bit of fun. They're not Westlife to just stand there. Gary sang this song brilliantly on his tour. It's a shame the boys don't realize that sharing the lead vocals is doing the band no favor. The boys are great on harmonies, but they should leave the lead vocals to Gary, who's an exceptional singer.
