Have a listen to The Searchers -- a 2009 concert in England on YouTube.John McNally is on lead guitar and Frank Allen on bass -- two of the 1960's group members. They sing Four Strong Winds /Take Me For What I'm Worth. They pull off a very creditable performance for men who were then in their late 60's.9 years ago

There are " the searchers" and my preference " Mike penders searchers", I have seen them both lots of times. The reason I prefer mike penders, is because he was lead vocals on most of their hits. this is him on lead on this song.9 years ago

Hi Geoff , It was a real shame that Tony Jackson left but I guess it was all down to egos. Really strange that the P.F. Sloan song that we have been discussing " Take Me For What I'm Worth " was the final Top 20 hit for the band,They had one or two minor hits one written for them by " The Hollies " Have You Ever Loved Somebody " but one of the lost gems was "Popcorn Double Feature" from 1967 which should have made the top 10 as the Pye Records contract was running down They made other great songs in the 80's but the Hit Years had expired. Check their website and you can still catch them live and it is always a good show for a fraction of what today's artists charge9 years ago

I'm not looking to hurt your feelings, but 'gay lifestyles' is outside of the norm. It is not harmful to the rest of society, only the person who is involved in this particular O/C strategy. Someone else's sexual fetishes has no interest or offense. If it works good luck! Like being an alcoholic or drug addict.
