This is the most epic thing I've seen in a while. Would love to see this in person.

@Greasyclean hey thanks mate.. i do full live sets, this one is a clip from a 25 minute performance. i control the whole thing myself. the beats are pre-done and i play all of the basslines, synths and other stuff live with the kinect to build the rest of the tracks. i use midi foot switches to loop stuff, disable/enable layers & to move through the drum loops. it's hard but it's so much more satisfying than standing there twiddling knobs with a laptop between me and the crowd

@synaecide Please let me know when it's done :). After having experienced some of the rather "special" mushrooms, I must say I am a little bit scared that they can scream :D. Maybe they have their own consciousness after all, who knows... :). But Fun story, thanks for explaining. See ya next time, man!

@DonnyRedNr1 Naa, there's no good recording of Exhale yet, currently just for live. I'll try to work on it for my next release though. The screaming mushroom is literally the sound that came out of some mushrooms I was cooking in a sandwich toaster. I'm not sure why this happens, but when you push down on mushrooms while they're cooking they sound like they're screaming =)

You don't happen to have an actual quality record of this I could listen to? :P. Also, please explain the Screaming Mushroom stuff. Whats up with that :D?

@onespeedonegeargo haha. cheers. i could imagine it's quite a wtf moment when you ask yourself why you're watching a video of some dude dancing like a idiot. i've fixed the video title to hopefully make it a bit clearer.

@pupthelovemonkey very true. with performances like this i want to keep the music flowing, so i've resigned to controlling only melodies, basslines and fx with the kinect for the moment. however, i'm hard at work on developing my toolkit to do this, as live complex gestural percussion is definitely possible, it'll just take some cleaver ideas and programming. thanks for the interest!

oh... I thought you where dancing at first... Hahaha... Nice!

I can imagine that you wanted to control the percussion yourself (at 0:35), but maybe the Kinect sensor is not good enough so you have to use a preprogrammed loop. Bummer.
