The first bar really show's mozarts ability to write a great melody. If Bach and Mozart wrote a piece together it would be the greatest ever cause it would have the independent bass lines Bach is famous for and Mozarts Melody lines13 years ago

@ninaflute I agree. I've heard some flutists whose playing I greatly admire play nearly every single trill starting from the note above and wondered if this was the only acceptable way. Sometimes the notes in a particular passage leading to a trill are so fast that the note with which you begin a trill is barely discernable. Yet in a slower passage or movement or cadence, as you mention, where the trill is longer and more exposed, the musical difference can be better appreciated.13 years ago
