I feel like if Syd were more interested the 1974 sessions could've been something really interesting. Imagine a psychedelic, bluesy, free-form, jam sesh-sounding album. I can see it now! Tons of variation in instrumentation, and just really long drawn out groovy jams. I feel like so much could've been expanded upon on the 74 sessions...

I hate the fact Gilmour produced Madcap and Barrett, he didn't give the albums the magic it had.

I wish he'd finished it further, it sounds really interesting but it's obviously still in its early stage. 0:38-0:57 is the best part in my opinion.

This really isn't too bad as far as the 1974 sessions are concerned. Nothing astounding, but there's an idea in there.

A very interesting trainwreck. Barrett still had very interesting musical ideas, but he apparently couldn't concentrate on turning them into a finished result.

Madcap and Barrett should have been released, but with the original producer Malcolm Jones, whose work was far superior to that of Gilmore or Waters. They should be bloody ashamed of themselves!

This actually sounds way more together than I thought it would! He never did anything that wasn't disjointed in some way...

Could you please elaborate further? Did he play electric or acoustic? What songs/style did he play? Did he play alone or with other people?

Hey thanks for uploading this, I have never heard it before and am glad that all of his music can still be heard! Zero dislikes too...every Syd video should be like that. >:)
