The riff everybody's talking about, to me, sounds like the legendary riff from Megadeth's Wake Up Dead. I wouldn't say stolen though. Similar riffs tend to happen in Rock, Metal, Punk, and Hardcore. It's the nature of the beast. Sometimes the music chooses the musician. I see it as an epic riff that deserved to be reborn or revamped. Like it or Lump it.
