I also prefer this version. This darker beat fits better to the lyrics. The Hobos really sound so ill on this beat, damn I always got goosebumps when I hear Big Nous, his voice is like he was a devil not to mention Saafir who killed this track as well.

i thought the album version was boring. the beat was too simple. it just had a little stripped down guitar loop. i'm more into the 1997 version. it's all subjective though. i wish SM still made shit like this.
