From the "Cut Above The Rest" album and with Steve Priest taking lead vocal is this ballad "Big Apple Waltz" released as the follow up to "Call Me" in 1979 with little or no marketing behind it. Shame because it was a nice song and would probably have done better with some advertising and airplay.

great song and band sweet didnt tour the uk after 1974 and they didnt play any festivals that all the top bands played so a lot of there albums didnt chart they failed to capitolise after not playing charlton rock with the who in 1974 that would have kickstarted there rock carreer as 3 they were great live but lacked the frontman they should have replaced brian it worked for the moody blues deep purple black sabbath to name 3 saw brians sweet his voice had gone and the backing was poor not the same with out andy steve and mick behind him

Nice song, but didn't have the hooks of their earlier material. The chorus sounds a little bit like We Are The Champions by Queen.

GREAT VOCALS and GUITAR SOUNDS. What sort of chorus did Andy SCOOT use? I dont know. But it's a real early -analog one. Natural boost and very meaty. Sweet was a great sound king but they had so many hit songs. Levent SEZER

I believe Steve Priest wrote this song too, after he fell in love with the USA - he moved there in 1981
