I agree with the main comment. Saw them live twice in 1975. They were brilliant.

Wow… a privilege, I think. And RED NOISE is one of my favorite albums! … "Revolt Into Style" is something of a theme song for me… Disciples of the Red Noise are... We Shall gather gleefully Beneath the CGIs of ancient oaks Now terminated To jointly frolic in the kliegs; We seek merely publicity Our private, now your public Memacity redounding. - bonze blayk spontano-versity Thanks,

This band had a huge influence on my future listening habits! I too was lucky to see them 2-3 times....once while they toured to support FUTURAMA....always loved this tune////still call my credit cards "Drastic Plastic" to this very day!!!

The video response just posted by djclary33 is hilarious in an appropriate way… I was just listening to RED NOISE while cleaning out my garage? Indeed… preparing to make FURNITURE MUSIC (making way for a new staircase!). … what a brilliant album. And always, STAY YOUNG, and don't forget to REVOLT INTO STYLE! … i have

And oh yeah, with reference to Buck? Check out the links I have in my The Red and The Black songlist here… that's Buck's band, which he put together when he was living here in Ithaca. I saw them play December 21, 1989 at The Rongovian Embassy to the USA, after months of getting "softened up" by "Getting the Holy Ghost Across"… It's "only" heavy pop music, really, but it was a mind-blowing day, and there's some great music there! Three feet away? OMG ENVY … I mean what I said about Bill in the caption. "Getting The Holy Ghost Across"… captivated me? OTOH… I've gotten to see my other two Top Three guitarists that close - Buck Dharma and Robby Aceto, a hardly-known local genius hailing from Ithaca… involved with Red Letter, David Sylvian, The Tom Tom Club, and now soundtrack work - the staple of surviving professional musicians in this town!

I was lucky to be old enough to get turned on to Be Bop while they were 2gether. Saw them 4x in NYC and even worked the center stage for security one night. Had Bill Nelson playing guitar 3 feet from my face. He and the whole band were so good. Always. Too bad so many people missed out on them

My secret band of love, not many people knew about them but doesn't that make you feel like you've got a guilty secret, his guitar playing is wonderful, their music is way ahead of it's time, revel in it my friends, we found a band from the seventies who surpassed most of what was there at the time, even my wife liked their later stuff, but their early stuff, axe victim and such, no one comes close, terminal street ohhh now where talking, love and peace brothers.

I furst heard of Be Bop at school when a friend keep singing Maid In Heaven and doing air guitaring to it in 1975. I said 'what the hell is that?' I went and bought this album and was hooked for life.Saw the band 3 times at the old Glasgow Apollo too. Futurama,Sunburst Finish and Modern Music are my 3 favourite albums of all time by anyone. I have them all on vinyl and this music will live forever, sad that Charlie is no longer with us,but long live Be Bop Deluxe!
