I disagree. Every decade has had great music and shit music alike, including this one. Sex and sexuality has ALWAYS been used to sell pop and rock music. Hell, even Suzi did a sexy bikini photo-spread for an Australian newspaper and there is also an early photo of her topless from the side on playing her bass (but covering her breasts).
