Great song, but I wish they'd stuck to the verse/chorus/verse/bridge formula. I read somewhere that when they recorded it, they chopped the tape up into verse segments, chorus segments etc, threw them up in the air and stuck them together almost randomly. When coming out of the bridge and back into the "I can feel you tremble..." part, I've always desperately wanted it to kick back into the chorus ("I can't hold back...") but it doesn't.

If this doesn't get Jimi Jamison in the conversation as being the best singer in rock history, nothing will. Pitch, perfect. Energy, perfect (did you see him hurdle that stage monitor and not miss a single note???). Enunciation, every word was perfect. Style, ballsy but smooth perfect. He could sing ANYTHING, opera, broadway, you name it. And he had great Peterik penned songs to sing. Lucky guy. Kudos to Ron Nevison for his clever arrangement of the verses with the choruses with the bridge. Different, unique, and brilliant.

Music comes in every shape and size, and there's always something for everybody's tastes and likes. Just like in sports when our favorite player retires or our team starts to suck, we just have to be patient and have an open mind about new players coming up(and they always do!) Recent bands like Train, One Republic, 3 doors down and even Bruno Mars are very talented. Some new country stars might fill the void, and if that fails, I always resort to the good(no great) old 80's, in my opinion the best era of contemporary music ever!
