Reading about John Wayne Gacy on the internet: Oh, that's sad. Hearing this song: Excuse me while I go cry in a corner. To the intellectuals searching the stars for what true art is, this comment is for you.

Peter Doherty sings with this much expression. Maybe Elliot Smith. I love it.

I know he was a heartless monster who never showed remorse his acts, but when I hear Sufjan sing about him, I cant help but feel sad for John Wayne Gacy and his tragedy of a life

@benegeseritwhore But people should still know that his lyrics (obviously) use deep symbolism. The song To Be Alone With You upfront sounds like it would contain such subject matter, but if you dissect the lyrics a lot of people found it was about Jesus. So with Sufjan there isn't a real way to tell by his lyrics alone. And nothing will change the fact that he is brilliant.

@natattack96 I guess you might describe us gays as particularly empathetic, but that's not why people think Sufjan's gay/bi. Predatory Wasp and Futile Devices both detail his loves with guys that haven't ended up so well.

@benegeseritwhore What makes everyone think he's gay? Seriously, I don't think that one bit. Just because he treats people with empathy does not mean he's gay. I'm sorry, I respect your opinion, but find that ignorant and do not agree with you.
