Big Picture

(Mike Graham)

Incorrect Thoughts, 1980

Pissed Off . . . with Good Reason, 1996

Same Thoughts, Different Day, 2010

The factories have been looking for me

They've been talking among themselves

Trying to get me for their shelves

There's a nine-to-fiver slot empty for me

It's the best that they have got

But it's not right for me

I don't fit the big picture

I don't fit the big picture

The big structure has been trying to get me

They've been trying every day to help me find my way

Fill out these forms for us

Do your best for us

Cause all we want from you

Is to tell you what to do

I don't fit the big picture

I don't fit the big picture

I don't wanna play the game

I don't want be the same

As all the people on the street

Who always look so beat

Who walk like every step

Is the last one they may get

The factories have been looking for me

They've been talking among themselves

Trying to get me for their shelves

Fill out these forms for us

Do your best for us

Cause all we want from you

Is to tell you what to do

I don't fit the big picture

I don't fit the big picture

I don't fit the big picture

I won't fit the big picture

Yeah like I said theres plenty of good UK bands out there, whether its punk, metal, 60s/70s rock, etc. but like anywhere else they had some crappy bands too. It's just unfortunate that they took this band's name and now you see kids saying "ooo these arent the real subhumans lol". Retards.

Same here man, there's only a handful of UK bands I enjoy as much as the ones in North America. Discharge, Heresy, Intense Degree and Broken Bones are some that come to mind.

I personally prefer American and Canadian punk over UK punk. Don't get me wrong, theres UK bands I like, but North America had more bands of higher quality, which makes sense because it started in North America, specifically Detroit and NYC

m.d.c. is what hipped me to the canadian subhumans. I'm lucky enough to live in portland and seen m.d.c. like seriously 25+plus times! m.d.c. and poison idea!!!!!! fuck yeah! and dont forget national guard and the exploding hearts!!!!

I love and have seen both bands. Love this tune for it's anarchistic theme. It's a classic. MDC covered it. All the musicians from both bands were/are very prolific in the "punk" scene.

they had a short original run but from what i hear they are playing a bunch now. i would love to hear same thought diff day since its just this album redone. oh and i love dick and the boys(brit subs) a bit more than these guys but they put a lot more into it i think.

There being two subhumans bands is so confusing. Both are really good too.
