Sorry, some sort of YouTube error. Kilroy says "A man with a voice most righteous, talking about the sins of society." That could be Dr. Righteous. And, Dennis DeYoung makes an appearance in the HMP music video, as Kilroy protesting Dr. Righteous' show. If you think about it, he mentions that he will keep Rock and Roll alive in Don't Let it End (Reprise).

Now that I think about it, this song and Heavy Metal Poisoning are related in more than a couple of ways. In here, Kilroy says "

This song is relevant today, what with all the extreme rightwing fundamentalist nutjobs out there trying to legislate morality.

Hey just a question I have been looking for a song for years dont know much bout it just a couple of lyrics. A freind told me it was Styx I have still yet to find it. Some of the lyrics are "When I was just a boy I hadn't a care. then on to since then I haven't looked back its almost like living a dream and ooooooh I want you... Dont know if thats enough for an answer but if ya know anything it would be appreciatted

"I've been instructed to inform you that your privileges have been penalized. Your avoidance tactics have proven disappointing." "Hahahahaha... Up yours, Roboto!" "No deviance, Kilroy..."

@ClassicTVMan1981X Yup; On the LP. But for years i've wondered if he had recorded it earlier for one of the previous two albums. All the other songs on "Kilroy Was Here" seem to mesh up pretty well; They all kinda carry the central theme. Cold War kinda does, but just not like the other tracks.. But thanks anyway!

@Supertron5000 It obviously is included on the LP although I do not know if he had previously recorded it for inclusion on either "Cornerstone" or "Paradise Theater."

@ClassicTVMan1981X Was "Cold War" even recorded for this album? It just sounds kinda like it's out of place or something. I just figured maybe it was something he recorded and they later decided to include it...

@doctorvibe1 Tommy Shaw really wanted to get the live version of "Cold War" released as a single instead.

This is another awesome song from the album. They're all awesome. Always stand-up for what you believe in. Never take the popular stance.

Sounds like a church guy in the first verse.

STYX---''HIGH TIME''

This song was chosen as the 3rd and final single off of the "Kilroy" album, because Tommy Shaw did not want his "Haven't We Been Here Before" ballad released (even though there was a promo video for that song). And even so, "High Time" only managed to make #48 in the Hot 100 in the fall of 1983.
