This whole album is about struggles with a God above. Honestly all their albums are about atruggles of believing in a higher power. Cowboy Dan, Bankrupt on Selling, Teeth like Gods Shoe Shine and this song all reference God in some way and its not positive. "Anytime anyone gets on their knees to pray well it makes my telephone ring well ill be damned. He said you were right no ones running this whole thing". Hes talking about some random guy in heaven getting all the prayers God is supposed to be listening to. Paints one of the best pictures of an athiest in life I have ever witnessed.
