Just showing off my new Ohana Vita ukulele (CKP-70R). Odd shape, dontcha think?

The song is Streets of Baltimore by the late great Gram Parsons. First take as usual.

Thanks to Deach for being the most generous, gentlest, and kindest giant in all the land.

Correction from EmilyUpJohn:

This song was written in 1966 by Harlan Howard and Tompall Glaser. It was recorded by various other country stars (Bobby Bare, Charley Pride) before Gram Parsons recorded it in 1973.

Thanks Jeff! The streets of Bakersfield are so hot, you can fry an egg on them. Get some bacon and you have yourself a party!

A fine cover of a good song. Where do you know this song from? For that matter, how do you come to know Gram Parsons?

Do you know anything else about this song? I'm wondering if Baltimore was actually a place a young woman in tennessee might have wanted to go or if glaser/howard just picked Baltimore because it's a good rhyming word.

This was totally unexpected. Anaa' Basee'. I was going to point out what EmilyUpjohn wrote as being factual. Once again good job.
