See another Stray video @ http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=30384989 I've not posted it on YouTube yet Enjoy!!!!

In 1970 as I did for the next 34 years, I lived in Uxbridge here in the UK. Of course in those days I was practically out every night seeing live bands or playing darts down The Lord Hill. Brunel University was just a few minuets walk from me and they always had live bands on 3 or 4 times a week in the refectory

Another den of iniquity I visited every Sunday was the Northcoat Arms (The Farx Club) in Southhall and The White Hart (Aquarius) on a Thursday. This is where I first saw Stray. A local band from Acton,Hammersmith etc. They were so underrated but so good.

I saw Stray at Alexandra Palace in 1974 when they were support for Groundhogs and Black Sabbath.Shame about their PA system being rubbish or they would have been good. never mind as Black Sabbath more than made up for the poor sound that Stray had.

V. catchy rock tune, deserved mega hit status, Quo got there on a much thinner gruel.. there's no justice.

Saw this on last fm. Remember great nights at the star hotel in croydon and many of the other places shown. All the memories came flooding back. I never realized I saw so many groups at so many venues. I had forgotten most of them and the great times I had then. Ahh where is that fucking time machine. Jecat at last fm.

I helped run the Farx clib in Potters bar for several years. Stray were onew of the top bands and could guarantee a full house, I never understood why the never took off like Genesis or deep purple.
