I could swear that I remember hearing this song on the radio (in the States) when I was 11 or 12 years old, but no one I know will confirm it.

Haven't heard this since the mid 70's stationed in Germany. I forgot the slow start but recognized the song as it gained momentum.

keep in mind ,i'm basicly an extreme metal guy, but this is one of the prettiest pieces of music ever written, especially the first piano part, i'd love to hear it with a harpsichord,{that's a hint to all keyboardists/ i can only play bass and guitar}

Great Song! Great Band! Saw 'em in 1974 @ Richard's Club in Atlanta, Ga. on "this" tour! Two nights! Met 'em, & they were very nice, friendly guys! They signed my LP, "Hero & Heroine". Then, 30 years later, in 2004, I saw them again @ Nearfest, in Bethlehem, Pa. & they signed my remastered "Hero & Heroine" CD! I told the keyboardist, (John Hawken) I had seen them 30 years ago in Atlanta, Ga. but I couldn't remember the name of the club. He never hesitated, & said, "Richards!" How he remembered, I'll never know, but he did!! They're still recording & playing...sometimes as an acoustic act as well! One of my favorite bands from the Progrock Heydays!

One of my fave Strawbs songs !!! Received it accidentally in the Columbia record club and loved it the first time I listened.
