My father purchased this album new in 1959. It's one of my favorites. Also I have the cd version.

I too listened to my Dad's LP's a lot as a kid. He owned a very diverse collection, all of which I loved. This was always a treasure.

Wonderful sounds of my childhood. Played it over and over. Nostalgia, nostalgia! My mom had a diverse LP collection and this was one of them

In the 70's when I was a kid, my grandparents gave me this from their collection of albums. I loved the 'jungle' sound of it and would listen to it at night when I was going to sleep. Specifically this song! Thanks for sharing!

I think it is more of a defect in the record at the beginning only, it sounds exactly the same at the beginning of the other side. Otherwise the record is very clean, no pops or clicks. I just uploaded two songs from this album, but I think most all the songs on this album have been uploaded by other youtube channels.

Except for a couple of seconds at the very beginning of the track, when the needle set down on the LP and there was a little bit of noise, I don't know how you did it, but I didn't hear any other noise while the song was playing. Both my dad and I have the same album, except I ran across my copy of it in a 2nd hand store years ago. Have you recorded all the songs on this album and uploaded them here on youtube by any chance? Thank you for the great music from yesteryear!!! :)

Great stuff! Big fan of 50s/60s exotica, Denny, Lyman et al. Great transfer, I literally thought I heard my roam phone ringing and got up to go answer it but It was that instrumental imitation of a bird!
