This was such a great era in rock. STP, perl jam, nirvana, alice in chains, soundgarden, etc... Lots of cool bands around at the same time.

and rolling stones, bad company and the beatles and ofcourse pink floyd!. Jerry Cantrell cites Schenker bros (UFO and Scorpions) and David Gilmour, Iommi, Leslie West, Blackmore, Billy Gibbons, Joe Perry and Jimmy Page and Hendrix among his many influences and Dean Deleo (stp) cites all of those guitarists as influences plus Mick Taylor, Paul Kossoff, Brad Whitford, Mick Ralphs and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hank Garland, Jerry Reed, Chet Atkins, and Jimmy Bryant who were all country pickers which is hard very hard. Dean Deleo is one of the best rock guitarists to come out of the 90s....his riffs, melodies, chordal work, chord progressions, phrasing, soloing, tone and style is just brilliant. He is one of my biggest influences along with all the guys I have listed plus John Sykes and Gary Moore.

scott sounds nothing like layne they both are baritones though and have that growl ... 2 of the best rock vocalists ever. STP was always way different than any of the seattle bands they are alt rock with classic 70s rock fused together and country influences / southern rock. Wicked Garden is similar to that seattle sound but it wasnt a seattle sound it was 90s alt rock! None of the seattle bands sounded anywhere near one another and all of them sg, aic, pj, nirvana, stp were influenced by zeppelin, aerosmith, ufo, zz top, ramones, clash, sex pistols, mountain, sabbath, scorpions, and other 70s rock and some 80s bands.

He looks so much like layne here. Did he ever admit it? Or did his modeling of Layne and quiteness about it lead to his downfall?

It's not dancing you fucks! It's straight vibing to the music! If I was the frontman for stp, my ass would be doing the same hahah... if you like this music, you'd most likely be doing the same thing xD
