Ok I am Irish . I have to say that england sucks at soccer. But one thing it is king at is music. The amount of brillant bands you have produced begars belief. Here is a list the beatles, the kinks, the rolling stones, pink floyd, the who, led zepplin, new order, duran duran, stone roses, sex pistols, the prodigy, the chemical brothers, oasis, iron maiden, massive attack, coldplay,radiohead, kasabian, florence and the machine, blur, the eurthymics. The list is endless.

went to manchester the day before friday's gig. this comes on in mojo bar and the whole place went mental. to see it the next day live just meant even more. anthem of the weekend. the best birthday ever! and gutted it's all over.

Let's not forget the huge influence that the Post-Punk rock n' roll scene of the 80's had on Stone Roses sound, they were heavily influenced by joy division, smiths, jesus and mary chain, echo and the bunnymen, etc. They took those influences and mixed it with other influences to make a new sonority...
