Saw him twice in Madison, WI. Un-fucking-believable. I can't say how grateful I am to have experienced him live. Even better than the Capitol Theater version, which I've been listening to for months. This verson has insane guitar and killer bass.

Been playing this song a lot today. Great song, under rated. I find it to be one of his best. It's got that swing.

Actually if you watch the rest of this concert he's playing through two Dumble Steel String Singers & a Leslie. I would imagine the tone here is a combination of not only some ungodly tone but also some overdriven mics.

@2001imsofly good call - that explains it i think - i play a bassman and always wanted to run it into a vibratone/leslie type speaker

@kingswayguitar OK I see what you mean, Jimi distortion territory. I think that comes thru both artists quite a lot, maybe its more on the live, which is my passion. that I can not say. I did see Jimmy, and Stevie, well he is well-documented by Hiro and a few others here.. the sound is sooh great on recordings, even live these days! Interesting comment, for sure Kingswayguitar! keep on rockin! K.
