Is Morning wood an essential component to writing songs? I think yes. :)

@nw75701 Interesting that you proclaim this as "the worst cover of all time", when in fact, Steve Poltz wrote it. It's always good to check the facts before TYPING YOUR SHOUTY MISTAKES IN CAPITALS!! Oh and even if it was a cover, it's far from being the worst cover of all time. Clearly you have never seen or heard the TV show X-Factor, or Mariah Carey singing Nilsson's 'Without You' with about as much heartbroken passion as someone who can't find their car keys. I rest my case.

@dontlookdown1944 Dude it was fucking awesome. Literally, if I could afford a ticket I would be on my way to Elkton right fucking now to see him again. Wish I had the money to buy his vinyl.

I knew Jewel when she was still in school at Interlochen, and I wish I would've listened to her when she said, "I'm going to be a singer some day"....boy is my face red. She was so cute back then.

Just heard most of this on the Bob and Tom Show from the Monday 2/25 show. Hour 3. It is intense.

His story is somewhat the same as jewels version but he adds a little extra to the story. It doesn't really matter who tells the story it is still a good story. He did do a wonderfull job telling it. Thanks for the clip!

Hey, my grandpa was in Treasures of the Sierra Madre, not Walter Huston or Humphrey Bogart but the other guy, Tim Holt. In fact my great grandpa Jack Holt made a cameo in it too.
