These guys were part of a whole crop of good bands in the late 90s-early 2000s who released one or two good records, had a handful of hits on Rock Radio, then just disappeared. Shame.

Jeff....ok, A.)The bass player is Clint Lowery's brother. B.) The Chorus is NOTHING like "Black" and i've been a dust fan since they were "Crawlspace" in ATL clubs. & C.) the genre had barely been tapped so it was far from overplayed.....now today that satement might hold water. Stereomud just never got the traction they deserved & bad promotion can kill a career before it even begins. ps- i still have Stereomud's 1st CD in the vehicle & is listened to moe often than you would think.

These guys didn't go far because of the fact that they sounded like every other band out there at the time. In the verses, I hear vocal style similar to the lead singer of Mudvayne (when he's not gutteral vocalizing). In the chorus, I hear a vocal sounding a lot like Sevendust's singer. As a matter of fact, the chorus is a near rip off of "Black" by Sevendust. Not saying they are a bad band...just that this genre was overplayed and people got bored with it.
