Obviously, the war is being used as a metaphor, perhaps because she's lesbian and have to fight against the society, maybe her parents/friends passed away and she's having a difficult time.

I think this means that she basically has "PTWS" even though she never went to "War". War is happening in here hometown, war against her sexual decision to be lesbien. It constantly haunts her and she can't get over it. When the attacks start to come she "takes cover". Just my two cents, State Radio is amazing.

When I first pasted it into my browser, it worked and I listened to the song, but then when I just tried to do it again, it brought me to the home page. But I posted the link on my friend's facebook wall (She's very excited about it) and when I go to that link and click, it works. Even though it's exactly the same as the one you have on here. Weird! And it's good! I personally don't love live recordings (I'd rather be there) but I'll take what I can get when there's no studio recording! Thanks!

I think if you look beyond the gender and sexuality of the hero, bigger themes arise.

I love state radio but that video was a giant miss. Not into it. Women as delicate symbols of purity has been done and that myth as much untrue as it is problematic. Woman are strong and courageous. If i wanted to see imagery of women, wet and making out with each other I would just check out MTV spring break. Maybe I missed something, but im kinda bummed. State Radio is cool, but if your going sing about change, show some of it too. There nothing revolutionary here.

Did the link work? When I copy and paste it in my browser it's just taking me to the ccbsayit home page. Let me know if you're having trouble, I can tell you how to get there manually. If it did work, what do you think of the song?

As far as I think, it's a critique on society, as the two girls can be represented as "purity" while the men in suits are fighting and tearing them apart (greed, and violence) while the whole video centers around her trying to escape that world. It's also about growing up, in a way, with the men in suits representing the sins and vices of "the real world" trying to pull her out of the pool (which can be construed as a womb) and her just wanting to stay where it's safe.

By soft I didn't mean in terms of the how rockin' it is, I meant soft in terms of how deep and well thought out the story and substance of the songs is. I completely agree this is the heaviest to date.

I disagree, this album is by far the "heaviest" to date, they've completely moved out of reggae and into full rockin' mode

I'm not sure but I think it's about a girl who wants peace. The fire, the fighting men in the pool could be interpreted as fears or society pressure that keeps her away from being true to herself...?
