Robert Mason's Stardrive rip through a set of cosmic instrumentals. Mason used 2 Arp 2500s combined to produce early polyphonic sounds. It's a little known classic that is unlike anything else.

My late father had the Arp Omni, which he used at his studio in Nashville. The amazing Dave Huntsinger played it on many recording sessions. Fantastic times, indeed ! :D ♡

Saw Stardrive in '73 at a club on Mercer Street that reminded me of the cafe in Clockwork Orange. Anyone remember it? I heard them do this track live... It's still completely fresh and awesome!!

Incredible jazz-funk music with lots of electronic weirdness. It's a shame this album is so overlooked.

Hell's Bell's , if bands like Focus, Soft Machine, the Nice can still crank it out, Stardrive should be out leading the pack. This music lends itself to a high tech visual presentation by anybody's standards. If you can't take a synth doing all this, imagine a cookin' jazz ensemble performing these tunes in a classic jazz format; piano (maybe a B3, too) , guitar, bass, drums. There HAS to be more music in the archives of this band that should see the light of day.

Can you post Intergalactic Trot ( I think that is what it was called). I have the quadraphonic album somewhere. Steve Gadd is the drummer on this album. Cool stuff......
