my reason for disliking the dreaming has nothing to do with their look. they look whatev... its just it has lost the elements of sw that made it great namely the synth/mixture of electronics/industrial and great hard alternative etc rock. the 2nd dreaming cd had a bit of synthwork if i remember correctly, but it still wasn't sw. i hope they do a reuninion again and make a cd like that show from a year ago.

Bashing the Dreaming is for pussies. Band's gotta look and sound fresh. Just like they Stabbing when they were around. Both bands kick the living fuck out of most others.

I hate it how people say how much they love SW and hate The Dreaming 'cause of their "Emo" look. It's what Chris wants to do. "I was emo before emo was even a word." - Christopher Hall. The Dreaming isn't that far away from Stabbing anyway, the only major difference is their look.

@zanzibarfox just a heads up, when stabbing signed to koch, they told everyone in the band, especially chris, what to wear and how to look. koch wanted to turn stabbing into a "goo goo dolls" band, hence why their image and sound changed SO drastically on their last album. the follow up to Darkest Days wasnt supposed to be the self titled album, it was supposed to be the final 4 chapters to Darkest Days, another very dark and very personal album. The Dreamings early songs are remnants of that.

My Favorite band of all times, I am just glad that I saw them in 2002 (State Theater-St. Petersburgh, FL) before they broke up. If anyone has footage of that Summer concert, please post it up because their opening band that night was amazing.
