damn stevies a gangster on guitar these rare songs are some of the best ive heard from stevie yet but don't get me wrong stevie is always great and just gets better everytime i listen to him.. and by the way for those of you who don't know this is actually a jimmy reed original tune miss the reed man too he was so basic but yet so passionate..

Hi flexman 22. Thanks for your reply - and well said. Regarding Stevie's playing in this early period, I think he sounds excellent and I wish that i'd seen him play then. A friend of mine who is a superb guitarist did (at Antone's in 1982) and tried to play Stevie's Strat but found it an impossible task because of the heavy strings and the high action. Best wishes

Hi buicklvr I respect your comment but I doubt that Stevie is resting. he's probably playing with Wes Montgomery, Django, Jimi, John Lee, Albert King and all of the other guys who have passed whose playing he loved. On top of that, he'll be busy motivating today's young players. A force of nature like Stevie Ray ain't going to be resting, sir. Best wishes from the U.K.
