What genre is this kind of music? Is it jazz?

The band here seems to channel Jelly-Roll Morton's Red Hot Peppers or the best of his era pretty well in a couple of places. Pretty terrific. How did they get Jelly-Roll on one side and 50's bebop on another (Memphis Exorcism)? Great!

They had better music in the past than they do today. Too bad this band isn't as popular as it was in 1997-8 during the Swing renaissance.

I am 33 my grandparents grew up in the 30-40s my grandfather was in ww2. They listen to music like this in their day. In the 90s this came popular with swing dancing:)

This sounds very much like 1920s Ragtime, but in digital stereo!

The worst is still if you think the future is the golden age...

The "Golden Age" is how you perceive it. Watch "Midnight in Paris". Owen Wilson's character thinks the golden age was 1920s Paris. But the girl he meets in the 20s thinks the golden age is the 1890s. The guys in the 1890s think the golden age was the Renaissance. Everybody has their own idea of a "Golden Age".
