What's coming down

Don't look good to me

It's definable as critical

In webster's dictionary

But let's just say I got a feeling

That when this stuff hits the ceiling

At no time will my feet leave my ankles

At no time will my feet leave my ankles

I don't need

Really all that much

Big limousines and movie queens

Don't get me going as such

But when I can't vote for a president

And be total sure that he ain't bent

At no time will my feet leave my ankles

So I break off

Yeah I just take off

Anything that's bothering me

Sing you a love song

Hope it ain't long

Before the roses bloom

In the afternoon

We're gonna see them soon

If you don't let them get you down, don't let them get you down

Don't let the long faced ugly mother wearing a frown, get you down

Don't let them get you down, don't let them get you down

Don't let the long faced ugly mother wearing a frown, get you down, ah-ah ah-aaah

So I break off

Yeah I just take off

Anything that's bothering me

Sing you a love song

Hope it ain't long

Before the roses bloom

In the afternoon

We're gonna see them soon

If you don't let them get you down, don't let them get you down

Don't let the long faced ugly mother wearing a frown, get you down

Don't let them get you down, don't let them get you down

Don't let the long faced ugly mother wearing a frown, get you down, no no

Don't let them get you down, don't let them get you down

Don't let the long faced ugly mother wearing a frown, get you down

Don't let them get you down, don't let them get you down

Don't let the long faced ugly mother wearing a frown, get you down, get you down

Don't let them get you down, get you down, don't let them get you down

Don't let the long faced ugly mother wearing a frown, get you down

Don't let them get you down, don't let them get you down

Don't let the long faced ugly mother wearing a frown, get you down

This is the one that made me love them. This (song) album and the Last Puff. What else does one need? Nothing. I like Foreignor. But they have nothing to do with this, and there is no point in comparison.

Hi folks, short digression:I heard this song for the first time in 1978. At that time the gutters ran round black discs on turntables not always clean;-) Hardly a sock can still remember what has been driven for a hassle to bring his records reasonably intact home * gAt that time, those brilliant songs have been heard often. Today, that's all history.Yet I rejoice again and again, when someone searches for specific songs and they are also found. My humble contribution. That's it exactly!Thank you for your attention!

Mike went on to become part of a great band called Boxer; they were signed to Virgin Records, on a now unheard of 5 album deal. I recommend you listen to all of the Boxer albums, true mainstream rock of the mid 70's.

this line has stuck with me since I was a kid of 10-11 yrs old, " Don't let the long faced ugly mother wearing a frown, get'chew down." having now lived a lifetime since then, I was fortunate to hear that message. got off on the right foot. Mike Patto was always my fav in this band.

killer song, I always thought Mick Jones was so much better in Spooky Tooth than he was in Foreigner.

They were often referred to as the Musician's musicians. I saw them at Joe Louis in Detroit, back in the day, and Bob Seger was standing off stage just rockin out. They were great then and they still sound as good. RIP Mike! Whats Gary Wright doing? I know a couple of them started Foreignor.

@macmurphy1000 Yes, Mike had a great career, i am a huge fan of his style. I saw this "Mirror" album by spooky tooth at my local record store, I had never listened to Spooky Tooth before. The only reason i bought it was because i saw that Patto was on it. I threw it on my record player as soon as i got home and loved it immediately.

@jeffbebe123 Hi I am Mike Pattos brother, Phil McCarthy, I miss Mike so much and was at his bedside when he died back in 79. The really good thing nowadays, is services like You Tube, and Spottifier, which enable fans to re hear some of their great music. Boxer also done 2 Albums, Absolutely Boxer, plus a 3rd that was never released called Monkeys Bum. I liked Mikes music he did with Ollie Hallsall, Timebox, Patto and Boxer 1. Thanks for your kind words. Kyle is one of my favourites by Mike.

@macmurphy1000 The band "Patto" was unbelievable too, and so underrated. Their first album is incredible.

Mike Patto was a great singer and musician. This was by far Spooky Tooths best album, mainly because of the late great Mike Patto.

would you by any chance have "All Sewn Up" available, I discovered this song on Foreigner's "Jukebox Heroes" CD
