In reply to GOLDENFLYWARRIOR-thank you for finally explaining what this song is about. And Vietnam was a lot longer than 10 years. WE sent the first US troops to vietnam BEFORE the end of the Korean War in 1953. Who knows, if it hadn't been for TV showing live killings of war for the first time, the Vietnam war could have gone on for many more years. I remember seeing footage as a kid-I was born in 66'.
