The music video for Wax Ecstatic revolves around a roller derby girl Angelina, or "Angel", per her nickname and her aspirations to better her output in the sport. She purchases "Wax Ecstatic" pills (a gold colored gelatin tab), and starts taking them. Footage is shown of 1990's-era roller derby, along with footage of the band playing. To include lead singer Vinnie Dombroski promoting Wax Ecstatic as being the answer to all of her problems. Towards the end of the video Angelina is shown playing in a bout. She would get mixed up in a collision, and fall to the ground. The gold-colored gooy substance that comprised the Wax Ecstatic pills starts dripping from her mouth. Proving that they were not the answer she was looking for.

Why Is Detroit's Own Sponge playing the,, Shit ass dive Bar US 12 next week? Wow have they fell from grace that much? I've always loved this song, but it's pronounced "eKstatic". The "c," unfortunately is not silent. BUT I did see these guys on a bill with Candlebox and Our Lady Peace back in the day and after the show, all anyone talked about was how great Sponge were. The headliners Candlebox kinda blew.
