Novem the Reasonable Gamer

I'm gonna have to agree with the critics on this one. This mission was totally out of place with the rest of the game. In the end it's just a speed-bump, but it's still the worst level in the game. Removing all the stealth elements in a stealth game is never a good idea.

loved the mission! you invested your time to save Sam. whether that much thought was put into it or not it was a very appropriate mission.

Yeah I'm not too fond of this new game, how about you??

How on earth can Sam be the boss of Third Echelon? (I was going to say spoiler alert to anyone reading, but seriously, people interested have got to see the ending by now) The president obviously pulled down the entire organization for the stunt they pulled at the White house and even if she didn't, Sam said he wanted to walk (Depending on choice between killing and sparring Reed)

That's what REAL fans are complaining about. Conviction was a HUGE change and then a level in Iraq where there is NO stealth what so ever even though SC has always been about stealth in the shadows? It was just weird and some say stupid. Some even called it a COD level, which you can't actually disagree on.

This tune is even more epic hearing it on a decent sound system or headset, on its own, without AK 47 rounds whizzing by me and grenade explosions {':-D} Fantastic game. Absolutely fantastic series. Thanks for the quality upload {':-)}

Oh, it was the worst mission in SC history. For what purpose? That you don't play as Sam, or that you don't play stealthily? No my friend, the worst mission in SC history was the email hack intermission in Double Agent. This mission is much like a canon chapter in one of the novels: it allows people to understand Sam and the world he lives in, beyond him just being the player character. This gives Sam's life more flesh, which any REAL fan wouldn't take for granted like you.

@DrFrohman I didn't like the mark and execute thing either, but i just got by without using it XD

@DrFrohman Yeah, that's true, I imagine new SC like upgraded Chaos Theory with new engine, story and other. I like Sam Fisher but I think, that in new SC must be some new character, Sam Fisher can be boss of Third Echelon, because he's too old :D That's paradox, he's the oldest at Conviction, but he's the fastest and move like a monkey

@GenericEquation I agree with you 100%. I always tell people that Conviction is good as a video game, just not as a Splinter Cell game. Splinter Cell is supposed to be a game where you take your time, not rush through it. Mark and Execute made everything too easy as well. One of my friends had played Conviction before any other SC game, and when I told him to play Double Agent, he told me it "had less stealth than Conviction." I facepalmed so hard. Oh and btw: Chaos Theory > All

@mandaloin Yeah thats weird. It added a new sort of gameplay. You could be stealthy, but only to a certain extent. I liked it. I wish they made (after you finnished the game) more missions of their time in Iraq. Maybe special mission where u could choose to play as Sam or as Vick. =) Cheers

@GenericEquation Stealth isn't all about Missions in Nighttime and stealth weapons. Infiltrations can be done in the middle of the day. As long as you plan everything right.

I thought the Iraqi mission was a cool level, whose purpose was to serve as a flashback scene! I enjoyed hearing them speaking crap in their foreign language and getting blown up by explosive tanks next to them cutting them off in the middle of their words!

@johncmcham I mean the game contains bugs, which made the game almost impossible to get 100% stealth in some missions.. It has nothing to do with spec-op, it's the game's problem..
