I saw the discussion regarding their "Christian Band" label being unfortunate. The thing is, this band seems to have found real freedom in their music by not just tackling religious themes but they never let the religious background get in the way of awesomeness in music. There are so many bands who hold back because of their faith and what will the critics say. Obviously Tourniquet didn't care and just put out great music. First 4 albums rawk!!!!!!!!!!

i NEVER assumed they were 'holding back', the thought never even crossed my mind. quite the opposite. its hard to find a band who can rival what they did on their first 3 albums. i've the utmost respect for their compositions and musicianship. my criticism has to do with the content of their lyrics/belief systems, not their mastery of the music they've made.

Why is it unfortunate that they're a Christian band? I really get sick of people who assume that a classic band like TQT is holding back from being an epic metal band just because they profess Christ. Remarks like that are getting really old.

@MmmHectic i find myself in the same boat. tourniquet couldn't be rivaled..esp. their first 3 albums in particular. their 'chrstian band' status' is unfortunate, but no one pops out knowing everything..
