The problem with this musical ISN'T the fact that it's Bono and the Edge. Hell, as a band, U2 is just fine, albeit repetitive at times. The problem is when you tell a band that's never done anything remotely close to a musical before and has no background in doing so to create a musical from scratch and have it sound like a Tony winner. Especially a rock band. The only reason Green Day pulled it off was because they hired a composer to help out. These guys had nothing like that.
