I'd like to introduce you to the fabulous little trio I now belong to called Old No. 3. It's all the stuff I love: vintage country, rockabilly, countrified bluegrass, and whatever else we can mix into the acoustic/electric music blender. This is a recording of one of our rehearsals that I thought you'd enjoy! I should really start using my new handi-cam for taping rather than my photo camera!

I'm very lucky to be playing with such talented musicians and all around great guys! I can't get enough of the pure, sweet slap sound from Slick's bass and of course Dave Epp is one of the *finest* guitar player I know. I'm improving and enjoying playing even more now that I'm "shacked up" with these two boys.

So the song we're covering is one I've heard from Wanda Jackson, George Jones, and a few older bluegrass/folk version as well. I spliced some lyrics together so I think this version, lyrically at least, is somewhat my own.
