Mmmm, I can't get enough of this song. And can we appreciate how impressive it is that most of Soundgarden's early, pre-92-ish material has only one guitar track, yet somehow the music manages to fill your ears to the brim with that euphoric grunge energy. I don't know if they had a really great engineer, or it was just Kim Thayil's innate craftsmanship.

SOUNDGARDEN. People don't realize that they were the true pioneers of the Seattle movement, long before Nirvana topped the charts with Nevermind". They put out the Screaming Life EP in 1987, that contained two grunge classics, Hunted Down and Nothing to Say. I saw them in 1990 on Louder Than Love, raw as hell and the mosh pit full of punks and hairs. I feel fortunate to have witnessed history in the making.

Soundgarden is not metal. There are classic rock and post-punk influences in their music, think of The Beatles & Jimi Hendrix combined with Bauhaus & Killing Joke, that would be the best way to describe them.

This song has such an eerie, creepy late-night sound to it. What has happened to music?!

And there's always Blind Dogs, Fresh Deadly Roses, Mailman, and Boot Camp. Heretic's good, too.

No problem, man. I'd also recommend Cold Bitch. I don't know why I left that one out. My personal favorite song by Soundgarden is Mind Riot, but that's not heavy or dark.
