Thank you Soren for making an interview with a Jazz master about as awkward as possible.

Bravo, I am really impressed with this rendition of Eternal Triangles. At the end of the day, this type of music is what makes life worth living. Congrats to Stitt and Dizzie for yet another great success in their career. They will have great futures ahead of them. :) Keep up the great work.

By the way music is love! If you love love enough, you'll make it.

If you love music enough, like Sonny does, you'll figure it out, like Sonny did.

All the words in the world won't help you be a great jazz musician, you have to figure it out yourself!!!!!

I can't believe how wonderful this video is.  This old man talking to this young boy about music, just amazing.

Sonny seems so kind, patient, and thorough with his answers and doesn't dismiss the kid in any way. It made me cringe a little bit when "jazz video guy" barked at him to finish his question and then rolled his eyes and shook his head. Seems we can all learn something from the legend that Sonny Rollins is.

thank you Sonny Rollins for saying just what I needed to hear right now in the answer to the 2nd question. thank you nervous teenager for getting your 2nd question out, allowing the master to respond in a manner which is almost like the universe reaching out to me.

In my experience I've found that the best musicians loved to "practice", loved to play.

I love the Sonny Rollins' wisdom.  Great video, but he never said how he practices!  Never answered the question.  So what does he do, cop licks and play them over and over at home?  Play scales, tunes, what?  One thing that is hard to know is how to practice!

Thanks again Jazz Video Guy for another great video. I'm going to watch each one. They are gems hearing Mr. Rollins speak from his heart about "jazz" and everything connected to it in his craft. Love tenor sax. He gives it life!
