SOMEDAY

- Someday,

Tomorrow will come.

Though I'm not afraid of today,

That's for sure.

You laughed at me,

For the last time.

You've got to understand,

It just wasn't in the plan.

To me, your life was ended,

When I said goodbye to you.

Ah ha ha, you laughed at me,

For the last time.

Now there's nothing left,

Tired of playing games.

Your mind is lost,

In a world that wasn't made for you,

Though I feel the same way, too

I still got some things to do.-

Geez...what a flash back. One of the all time greatest bands of the 60's, incredible musicianship and songwriting /arranging abilities. Bob Mosely was one of the greatest RnR bass players and singers ever. Love the jazz vamp at the end, Jerry Miller was incredible...and Hobbgoblin...I'm 63, been playing music for over 50 years, many years as a pro and the Jonas Bros aren't qualified to tie the Grapes shoe laces much less anything else. Btw, ya'll come to Austin, incredible music scene here.

Opinions are neither right or wrong, but without listening you cannot form an accurate appraisal of Moby Grape (or any other band). If this negative comment were true, then the converse would read that the Jonas Brothers were Moby Grape of the 80's. For those of us who experienced this music when it was contemporary and ever since, that proposition is ridiculous. They were so very talented and that, and that alone, accounts for the survival and popularity of their music almost 5 decades later.

I didn't live back then, nor have I listened enough to formulate an accurate opinion.. But I think it's refreshing to see some thought and legitimacy in a "negative" comment. From what I have heard, I can totally see them being the Jonas Bros of the 60's.

There's not just you and me, and everyone disagrees (with you).

It would be a dreary world to live in if everybody held the same opinion; but if you feel at liberty to pontificate here, I feel equally at liberty to suggest that your comparisons are idiotic and characterised by a profound lack of taste.

Moseley's verse at the end still gives me chills. Even more so now that I know the words.

I think the gobblin down there has heard this one song and none of the Grapes other tunes. I'm 27 years old and these guys rock! Jonas Bros. my ass, the musicianship alone is far better than that crap. Thanks to my dad for turning me on to all this wonderful music.

Hobbgobblin - I agree with Sandbagger. Saw them back in '69, and they were one of the all-time best bands I ever witnessed. "Cutesy"????? Get your meds checked, brother. This band has influenced more musicians than most other bands put together. And their story, incidentally, is a true, early object lesson in how the music industry eats its young.

@TheHobbgobblin I understand if you don't like them. But sorority girl music? You obviously haven't listened to too much Grape to come to that conclusion.

these guys were one of most versatile bands to come out of the Bay area! Hard rockers/ tight harmonies on acoustic numbers / heavy blues as well...they were short-lived and under- appreciated....thx for posting thier songs....all the best ^/^
