I found this entire album to be mediocre compared to Cognitive. They picked up a little bit more technicality, but its done in a comparatively boring way...and the lyrical content went from transcendental to just MEH. Soen, take some more psychedelics before the next album is released ;)

Soen is slowly becoming my new favorite band. Helps that I am a massive tool fan, but I really like Soen's take on the genre. It's more pop than tool but somehow still very deep, dark and heavy. My favorite song of theirs so far is Void.

ok something about the vocals/lyrics being a little...diluted here...and the video itself is a bit..how shall i say...cliche...vanilla..some heft is missing and other stuff over done. hate slow motion video for everything.

how to soen?1. form a band with some well-known musician people2. find an "artsy" name, album art, album name whatever3. RIP-OFF EVERYTHING!!!4. shoot a "deep" video-clip5. put it on vevoand look at the opeth comparisons. opeth created a style, recorded 10 distinctive great albums, then stopped doing progressive metal because they felt they won't add more to the genre. katatonia did similar stuff like this like, holy shit, nearly 15 years ago lol. ok, opeth now doesn't sounds as it used to be, but i don't see why people compare this "copy-paste" band to a legend. fuck, even a band like emmure has more originality. but, who cares?!?! another band like tool/katatonia/opeth! I'M PUKING RAINBOWS RIGHT NOW BECAUSE OF THE AESTHETIC ASPECT AND THE ALTITUDE OF THE ARTISTIC QUALITY!!!and yes, they sound less tool, more katatonia, with brand new anathema and leprous wibes. I bought Tellurian as it had the coolest cover ... I thought the band were Finish or something. Great album, I like it more than Cognitive - it's more melodic. My youngster heard me playing it and thought it was Opeth ... or what Opeth should sound like now!
