well the whole pont of letting another band cover a song is to do it their own way. Edge's guitar play is unique and instrumental to the U2 sound. That said, this cover still is bad. Even thouh they made it their own.

I'm a solid U2 fan since I was kid, I listen to their songs almost everyday. There are good covers and there are mediocre covers. This one belongs to the latter. Come to think of it, most of the covers on this tribute album sound like acapella. They can't do The Edge's guitar style?

Great arrangement! having lived through covers of great Beatles songs through Kid Rock's version of Queens "Fat Bottom Girls and so much more, i must say that is is one of the greatest covers ever. Rivals what Joe Cocker did with "With a Little Help From My Friends" or Matallica doing Bob Seger's "Turn the Page." This is haunting, refreshing, and even spiritual in some respects.

this cover is a fantastic ode to achtung baby. Its not quite perfect, , but hey, everyone put in the effort and spare time for this. When i heard DM were covering and killers, i expected them to do those songs... only the other way round. turned out brilliant though. And personally i think this snow patrol one is brilliant. Glasvegas perhaps went overkill on the effects.. And as much as i love Damien Rice, he had no chance. the original is a classic, and the Johnny Cash cover is untouchable
