The issue isn't Davis' lack of ability to play the piano - I've heard several beautiful pieces by him... the issue is Smells like Teen Spirit. It's not a good song, it's the same reason why I hope he never covered the Ramones. 3 chords is hard to work with. I've heard several classical interpretations of Smells like Teen Spirit, and I've come to accept that a good version doesn't exist.
