Yeah I think he meant Hair and Power Metal which was a short lived fad in the 80s the grunge movement basically ended hair metal. Metal is good and in fact what Weisser probably did not know is that grunge bands derive from metal and most grunge bands were metal fans or had metal influences. Nirvana didn't play garbage in fact bleach sounded very sludge metal influenced. Their unpopular stuff is much better than the popular songs like Endless Nameless and Aero zeppelin plus overall better lyrics

because Kurt Cobain was a total waste of life. I would never say that he was a waste of talent as he never had any to waste. Grunge, in general, was the product of record executives wanting all bands to be like Nirvana. It has left a stain on music and nearly killed metal. What I said was wrong for sure... but anything to kill that music and the person linked to grunge's image HAS TO BE A GOOD THING. I apologize though. What I said was and is wrong. Saw them in 91 at Trees in Dallas. They were legit exciting at the time of the SubPop single and the first LP. On the Trees stage Corgan reminded me of Neil Young.

You nigga's gotta fight Corgan vs. Cobain? Intricacy does not make a song better, not to say that The Smashing Pumpkins were less than Nirvana. Both are very good, and are very different. Just look at In Utero vs. Siamese dream. AMAZINGLY good albums, not similar at all. Love 'em both.
