Nothing is permanent in this society. As I have said before, we could have stopped this waste of a wonderful cast and a bevy of folks behind the cameras if we had only done something akin to the re-awakening of Star Trek after NBC had decided that it did not know what to do with the program. Think also of Firefly which was a wonderfully written and acted piece of work but was hammered to death by mid-level thugs at Fox who knew better. Get the DVD's. Buy the CD's. That's all you can do.

Not willing to go into any of these two teams cz team SMASH is the is all that we want,but the truth is they are not gonna come back,yet to see the season 2 finale but already got tears in my eyes hearing that no season 3 is going to come. Lets agree to this both ivy n karen are incomplete w/o each other and so is Smash ..Smash deserve far better farewell than these pitty fights. m from India,where such kinda musical shows are rarest of rare Loosing Smash is very disappointing and heart breaking

I love both Megan Hilty and Katherine McPhee. There are some songs that just scream IVY! and there are other song that are just perfect when Karen sings them.

after seing the season one finale I knew I loved Karen as Marilyn. It doesnt matter if she doesnt have enough curves or doesnt look like Marilyn--She sings beautifully and I think she brought Bombshell to life!

I wrote that comment four months ago, before the second season even started. I wrote it based on the Ivy from the first season. We clearly had different interpretations of her character.

During the second season that was revealed more. I posted this comment after only watching the first season where ivy was extremely cunning and manipulative. I hate that they played her out to be the "bad guy" when she isn't at all. Now during the second season when her character is more likable you want her to succeed and be marilyn, but in the first season; the writers wrote her to be less likeable
