This is a bloody fantastic cover mate. Glad that you mentioned that it's based on his tutorial too, I seen so many people in the past get heavily slagged off for "playing it wrong" because they didn't know the tutorial existed. Fantastic tone too, it's puts the tone of the original bass track to shame.I'm currently in the process of recording my own bass cover to this but transcribing it off of the isolated bass track from the original song, it's certainly a lot harder to make it sound consistent and played throughout but I much prefer how the original transcription sounds.Either way, great cover man.

I love your tone, and your bass is magical. I also notice that you play it a bit different than the low b standard, which Paul Gray uses in his toturial video. With all those 6 strings, I wonder what your tune is :) - Marius

Hi! It is a Yamaha RBX6JM. It was John Myung's (Dream Theater) signature model. Now it is discontinued as Myung signed up with musicman (I think). The make is ebony freatboard with alder on maple veneer body and and maple neck, 2 doublecoil pickups and active electronics.
