Personaly, I think that bands need to evolve and morph into different phases, or you get AC-DC on a stick. New means new, don't compare it to their older albums. I have to admit, I think the precision and production is not all there, but that's my opinion. I know I might get crucified for saying this, but I just started listening to Slayer after a long intreval, and "Christ Illusion" is an amazing album. But opinions are like assholes- everybody's got one.

I think they should sue themselves for plagerism. They SHOULD have came out swinging and detuned another slow version of the criminally underrated "Diabolos" (they were just fitting in w the times, I know), but EVERYTHING they've done since that record has been a copy of an old-school song. Imagine, Slayer comin out FULL Crowbar style ... thicker, fuller, and beastlier. Fuck it. When I went to Jeff's memorial, I guess I buryied (all "the new" Slayer that day too) FOREVER LIVE SLAYER 1983-1994/1998.Hail Satan.
