The band consists of John Cooper (lead vocalist, bassist), his wife Korey Cooper (rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist), Ben Kasica (lead guitarist), and the newest member Jen Ledger (drummer, vocalist). Skillet has released eight albums, two receiving Grammy nominations: Collide and Comatose. Over the past 13 years, Skillet has spanned many different genres, including hard rock, industrial rock, and symphonic rock. As of late 2009 they have sold over a million albums

Skillet is christian. They started out on a christian label where they produced their self-titled album, Hey you, I love Your Soul, Invincible, Alien Youth and Ardent Worship (which is pure worship music, although I'm not 100% certain that this album was on the same label). Uhm I dont undesratnd why everyone thinks Skillet is christian rock?! O-o I mean okay some fan videos are christian (with this lil girl but I actually interpret that lion not as god whatever) but the official music videos and also concerts and the lyrics are totally not? For example officially its Nu Metal.....uhm and yes.....well....I dunno but the lyrics are about a HERO and mosnter is about a monster in your head and Rise is about revolution and shit.
